Walking with the Cross

Over 300 people from over 10 congregations gathered on Good Friday morning for the 21st annual "Crosswalk." The walking procession stopped at 9 places along a 3 mile square. At each break, cross carriers switched, a Bible reading was read and a song sung until 2 hours later we reached the walk's end. There the Cross was erected on the Crossways Church campus.

That's a big and probably heavy cross to bear.
Are those all kids carrying it? I wonder how it affects them.
Best wishes to you all as you walk toward Easter.

This seems to be a fairly common practice all over the world now.

It is good to see Easter being observed for what it is, rather than focusing on the Easter bunny, eggs and chocolates.

I'm glad that's all it was. Some people here still insist on nailing themselves to a cross, even though the Catholic Church has made pronouncements against it so often.

Wishing you and your family a beautiful and blessed Easter, Leif!
