Velkommen

King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway worshipped in Foss Chapel at Augsburg College in Minneapolis on Sunday morning. Women wearing Norwegian bunads welcomed guests and Norwegian exchange students before their majesties arrived. After worship, the king and queen attended a coffee and Norwegian pastries reception in a huge tent next to the church.

How fantastic to have royalty in your area. Queen Elizabeth is coming to Aussie tomorrow but is sadly not visiting Grafton. Closest I will get is her plane flying overhead on route to Brisbane from Canberra.

The papers have been full of stories about the visit. So glad that they had such a warm and welcoming reception by all Scandanavians in this area!

Vilket fint besök! Så kul att du fick se dem och dessutom fick en så fin bild av dem. Jag tycker också att de där folkdräkterna är så vackra.

Soliga hälsningar från Sverige :)

That is a special event to have European royalty in your town.

Prince Harry is currently going through helicopter training with his British Army unit at a U.S. military base outside of Gila Bend, Arizona. The town is buzzing for a hoped-for royal sighting.

A nice opportunity to know norwegian culture, that's what I like of USA: the mix of cultures.

This must have been an exciting event. Not quite like a visit from Pippa, but pretty good nonetheless!

Why is it that everyone is so fascinated with royals?

You can add "Royal reporter" after your name, Leif!
Well, they are both 70+ years old, but are still doing a good job representing Norway.

Ha ha, good one Jack. How come you didn't ask them for a portrait Leif? Surely they must have known who you are!
