Corny in Coates

The Minnesota harvest of corn is just around the corner. We passed this barn in Coates, a village of 163 people just south of Eagan, on our way home from Iowa. Click here to see other charming barns.

It's a nice looking barn, very different from the ones I see in my area.

Looks like a pretty good spread. Like the angle of the shot. Were you on your belly when you snapped this?

That Barn is just Magnificent! It has always been my dream to have a farm someday! I'll do my best to have a great farm just like this one in your shot Leif! Great Job! The Silo is just Magnificent and the colors do complement the Corns :D

What....! A black and white barn? I thought it was compulsory for all barns to be reddish/brown in colour haha! This is a beauty and HUGE! Nice shot Leif.

I am so glad you posted an image big enough to really see some of the details...I loved it small, but wow, when I enlarged it....it is really a spectacular barn. And I LOVE that silo...hope you can get back there when the corn is gone.

What a great structure! It's more than a barn; someone has produced a real work of art here.
