Repairing Eagan roads

These guys were resurfacing a side street off Galaxie Road after a long, cold, snowy, Minnesota winter. The City Daily Photo community theme day for June 1 is: Under Construction.

I start sweating just from seeing pictures like this.

I can almost smell the asphalt. A familiar scene in summer Minnesota, but I don't mind the obstruction to construction when remodeling or repairs are done, esp. on our winter-ravaged roads.

My link to the portal for theme day photos does not work, hope you visit me anyway. That darn computer-voodoo is at work again!

Oh dear. I'm getting a headache from the odor! (Yes, I DO have an over-active imagination!)

Nice hot, steamy, day for this....

I guess this must get done frequently in your area because of all the snow and ice. Looks like a dirty job!

I used to see this a lot when I was a kid. One of my favorite types of construction. That roller looks like so much fun! Great photo for theme day :D

Nice capture today, Leif. I am all in favor of road repair. Winter does a mean job on the streets around here.

Stay on top - Oben bleiben.

Viele Strassen sind broken from the strong winter.

Well I wish I could have photographed a scene like this one!

Hope you didn't get tar on your car! Glad those roads will ride more smoothly though.

I can smell that asphalt also. And yes it is interesting to see construction around the world.
