We colored Easter eggs with our Brazilian guest, Mayra, on Saturday morning. She told us that they don't do that in Brazil.

- I was bit by a foreign travel bug after my sophomore year in high school. I haven't found a cure for it, nor do I plan to. I visited India for 5 weeks in early 2009 and Europe in July 2009. My family and I spent 1 month in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in July 2010. In January 2012, I went to the foothills of the Himalayan mountains and a wedding in Jaipur, India. Then in May 2012, I returned to Japan and Bangkok, Thailand. My family and I spent 3 weeks in Paris, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany in August 2012.

ReplyDeleteAh, yes, the fun of coloring eggs. Those days are behind me, at least until my daughter begins sprouting her own children. These days colored eggs are made by Cadbury. (Cute kids.)

ReplyDeleteHappy rest of the easter to all of you. I see some days ago a half horse, the dog great dane. I don't know if the origin is danish. Here we boiled eggs very hard in my childhood and played with them outside. The were boiled with brown onion leaves to get that colour - or other colours from what I can't remember.
