The crime scene...

A city parks employee recently discovered bold graffiti damage to the pavilion shelter at Thresher Fields Park in northeast Eagan. The spray paint clean-up is estimated to cost $3,000.
Eagan Police are asking for help to identify the responsible person(s). The Eagan Citizen's Crime Prevention Association (ECCPA) is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandal(s). Call the police department at (651) 675-5700.

I wonder what will happen to the miscreant(s) if they're apprehended? Hope they are required to clean their "artwork" with a desire to use their own canvases in the future.

Vandals. They used to toss them into the coliseum in the olden days for the lion's lunch.

Das Problem gibt es hier auch. Bei uns in Berlin machen sie es auch bei Bus and Train. Und bei Häusern sowieso. Herzliche Grüsse von uns 2 :)

Some actually say it's art.

That is a crime. Good post.

It wasn't me! Tying them to a post near an anthill and puring honey over them is a suitable punishment.

That is one expensive re-paint job! I hate when people care so little.

Don't tolerate this ugliess or you will end up like our cities, which are like this almost everywhere!

Probably easier to give the "artists" a place where they can practise their "art"!

I'm with Steffe, give them a canvas to work on and get them to compete to inmmprove their work

Sadlu, a very usual scene around here... Fortunes are spent to clean everything and it will never be long-lasting!

Graffiti is art when it's done on the right place. It's a crime if it ruins a neat and tidy place.

I can't help loving graffiti that's well executed. I agree that the perps need a place to practice--a place to improve their technique. I'm such a snob, but really, they need to "level up" before they bring their skills out in the open again.
