sunny Saturday's skate skiing

The outdoor thermometer read 10 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 Celsius) on Saturday afternoon at Lebanon Hills Park. But the sun was shining for skate skiers who glided around the snowy, groomed 2.5 mile trail.

  11. They called this freestyle cross country skiing in Davos. They had tracks for both this and the classic style. I wanted to try, but wasn't sure which style would be better. Have you done both? ANy advice! The skating style looks especially fun.

  13. Skate skiing? Is that what they used to call cross country skiing?
I tried it first (and last) time a few years ago in the Swiss Jura. Fun as long as the ground is level.
