Discarded tree

Christmas trees are laying out in front of homes everywhere for garbage day. I'm sad to say farewell to the Christmas holiday.

But then there's Valentine's Day and Easter and spring and summer. Hoorah!

That tree looks huge. Sad to part with it.

After Christmas is before Christmas. Enjoy the winter time.

Was macht man mit den Bäumen? Werden sie einem bestimmten Zweck zugeführt?

Here in the Bay Area, it is becoming increasingly common to see Christmas trees discarded on the sides of the freeways... (sigh)

Eleven months to go and we can all put our trees up again! No doubt it's six months to go before the first Christmas merchandise hits the shops...

Das ist bei uns in Germany auch so...die Bäume liegen überall rum und warten darauf abgeholt zu werden.

Hier auch. But that one is HUGE.

Happy New Year (late, I know).

That's a big tree! Our garbage collectors would definitely not take this!

That was my thought too...that tree looks huge. Mine looks like a Charlie Brown one compared to that one.
I miss Christmas too. I still have my tree up, I find it cheerful. We'll probably take it down this week and then we take it back to the same tree farm we got it from and they compost it.

Tis the season after the season when everything becomes disposable. We've noticed seasonal sports taking center stage in Eagan.

I just arrived back in the states and I was hoping to be able to see some leftover Christmas decorations, but there is very little left! This was the 4th Christmas I've missed since moving to Saudi Arabia! sigh...
