#470 to Minneapolis

The November 1 theme day is "public transportation." From the "park & ride" site of Cliff Road, one could take this 8:10 am express bus to downtown Minneapolis. "Go green" and save gas, parking fees and driving frustrations!

Count me in, I've never been to the Midwest.

Great idea, but you have to be able to leave the office on time, which is something I have rarely been able to do.

Definitely less stress than driving!

We don't really have mass transit here in Jackson, so if you want to get to work on time, better hop in the car. The traffic is not bad though. I think it's great that big cities offer programs like this though. Makes the commute less stressful.

A good idea. I'm all for taking the bus. Nice shot, Leif.

I like buses and this is really a nice one.

Haven't ridden any of these suburban buses; isn't it great that there's room for cycles. (Tomorrow's the big day...about 1 pm...ugh!)

i saw these bike racks for the first time in canada this year. Over here, people dont bring their bike along on the bus, they just ride their bike :)

Lots of Portlanders park at Transit Centers all around the area, leaving their automobiles and coming downtown to work. Also lots of people bike part of the way, then ride the bus. I think both ideas are really good for the environment. Your post is enlightening about our similar transit systems. Nice job!

I first saw buses with bike racks like this in Toronto and I loved it. Our buses don't even have disability access, much less bike racks. :(

This is so cool. Something you never see in Israel.

I have never seen bikes being carried like that in a bus. Cool!
