A Stradivarius?

We rented a violin for our second daughter for her Suzuki violin lessons. It was fun to see so many violins available for rent or purchase at the "House of Note" store. Anybody else taking Suzuki music lessons out there?

Oh fun! Good for her!

While we lived in Skokie-Evanston my 5-year-old started Suzuki lessons, with a 1/16 size violin.
Now her son is taking violin in kindergarten, in Australia. After always wanting to, I started learning the violin at age 39. Let me tell you, the sooner one starts, the better. :)
Today, 30 years after Naomi's Suzuki classes, I still sometimes start humming her practice songs. Bet you will too.

The sound of the violin is really sweet. You will feel it at home. Lucky.

Don't think you could actually rent a real Strad. Would probably come in am armored car and a small army.
No, haven't forgotten my 500th post, it's tomorrow.

I have always wanted to learn that instrument. Nice post.

I wish I could play those but I have no talent.

Cool! I'm a violinist too. I don't play regularly any more, but it's still part of who I am.

I really like the violin. I think it's a good instrument to take up. Hope your daughter stays with it and enjoys it!

I remember taking violin lessons. I hope your second daughter learns to play way better than I did!

I got to see the real deal earlier this summer in Florence Italy. I was just inches away. Of course, those inches were protected by thick glass, video survailance and a nearby guard. Other than that I could have picked up up and taken it home.

I don't mind the violin lessons, but add a son learning the cello and another daughter playing the oboe and the windows start to rattle. I love that they come in all sizes.

My best wishes to your daughter, you don't need a Stradivarius to be a good violinist! Nice shop, sadly we don't have any like this left in town...
