Soggy St. Croix seat in Stillwater

After visiting the Stillwater Art Festival on Saturday afternoon, we walked along the flooded St. Croix River. The "Lift Bridge" connects Stillwater, Minnesota with the shores of Wisconsin. Do you see the lamppost and bench out in the water? Click here to see other bridges around the globe with Louis la Vache's BRIDGE meme!

Oh, what a sight. At least the downtown streets were not flooded! Or, were they? Great photo for Bridges Sunday. By the way, what do you think about St. Olaf charging admission for the Christmas holiday concerts? Read that there's
divided opinion between students and alums.

Hiya Leif,

Don't know what catches the eye most: the complicated structure of the bridge, the island of flowers or the realization that the banks are under water.

Great composition, Leif! Not only the bridge is fantastic but also the little garden in the water looks lovely.

I agree with JM - both bridge and garden are stunners!
Greetings:)

Thanks Leif for a visual of the what has happened from the flooding in Minnesota and Wisconsin. This is a very sanguine view of the floods.

Nice compositions. I like the industrial angularity of the bridge and the warm colors of the flower island. Lots of water!
