LakeFest 2010

On Saturday, June 12, the City of Eagan held its "LakeFest 2010" at Blackhawk Park. In honor of "Take a Kid Fishing Day," residents could fish with their children ages 16 and younger without a license; bait and equipment were provided. A water resources specialist displayed a huge tank filled with many of the local fish species.

Oh, how I wish I had known this was taking place. I would have loved to have taken my granddaughter there.

PS. I just came from Halcyon's site and noted that she got an oatmeal pancake recipe from you. Checked some of your earlier posts but cannot find it...may I, too, have it?!

Looks like it was a nice day and lots of fun. Been awhile since I've fished.

Sounds fun, except the fishing part!

The only thing more boring than fishing is watching someone else fish. ;)

Good idea. The same thing will happen on this years Haninge day I have been told by one of the fishers.

It's many many years since I dangled a line. I get better results at the local fish shop.

I can't remember the right end of a fishing rod anymore, but this is very nice.

Is it true that you were heartbroken when you learned that Charlie the Tuna wasn't there?
