Glad Midsommar!

We attended the annual Midsommar celebration at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon. A decorated Maypole was raised, "Spelmanslag" fiddlers fiddled, ring dancers danced; everyone enjoyed a festive day!

The weather cooperated nicely, didn't it? Great to invest time in recalling ethnic traditions.

...og så på kronprinsessens bryllupsdag, hvor frøen, hun havde kysset, blev prins :-D
Min ældste storebror, der snart har boet 40 år i Staterne, de fleste i Texas, holder meget af den årlige danske dag, de holder!

You seem to celebrate a week early, but maybe that's because you can't wait with all the dancing, eating and drinking!

Glad Midsommar Leif.

I love the longest day of the year! It's still not completely dark here in Berlin and it's 10.30pm.

I tried the Madison Rotary club several times (that's where I live) but maybe I will try one of the other Jackson area clubs.
