Teacher Recognition Day

On Wednesday, May 5, principals and teachers from Eagan High School, the two Eagan middle schools and eight elementary schools joined the Eagan Rotary club for the annual "Teacher Recognition Day." A principal from each school introduced their school's selected teacher and told why that teacher was chosen. Eagan Rotary awarded each school and each teacher with a gift certificate.
Congratulations, teachers!

Finally! Teachers get the recognition they deserve!! There are many individual classroom teachers all over the country who are self-sacrificing and devoted to kids who never get the kind of respect warranted by their dedication. Thank goodness that some groups recognize this service!

It would be really nice if all teachers everywhere would receive higher salaries - they shouldn't be cutting corners on the education of our children!

One teacher stands out for me is my H.S. English teacher. She inspired me with her enthusiasm for Shakespeare. Slowly but surely I'm reading and enjoying all his works.
