Got milk man?

On my way to a 6:30 morning meeting, I stopped Brad, the Kemps milk man, for a photo of his milk truck. It's no coincidence that his truck looks like a cow! Call Brad if you want home delivery of ice cream or milk!

Home delivery of milk! A service of the past, and I think it would be a great idea for this household, too.

What a cool (or cold) truck!
I remember my childhood in Chicago when the milkman came with a horse, through the alley (or was that the iceman?).

Nice! I love the spotted truck.

You know what requires milk.... waffles! Hint, hint. ;)

I am thinking of 1961. I was "milkman" in the summertime. Homedilevery was possible at that time - and I earned money to make it possible to participate in a high school travel to Rome.
In Denmark we have a company called "Hjem-Is" (Home-Ice). They come sometimes here and tells about it ringing a milk-bell.

I am «Louis la Vache» and I approve both of this post and of this delivery system! Full bovine employment NOW!

Home delivery of milk? To me this was an old English tradition with bottles left at the door. I had no idea you could get the same in the U.S. today!

We don't have such delivery trucks in here, I mean like in movies, you know. I've always liked to see them going round neighborhoods, especially the ice cream truck.

Good old days. I like service!!
In Japan they deliver milk and dry cleaners pick up and deliver your clothes. Restaurants have bento box delivery. Gas stations are very service oriented. You go inside for coffee while car is being serviced. There are elevator operators in elevators, etc. Needless to say, I love this service. And truck. And your photo and sharing. It's a very cool truck!!! I wish he was here where I live!

Unfortunately Brad painted his truck. There are 40 of us milkmen that deliver in the twin cities area, check it out at milkmandelivers.com.
