Vespers with Viking Chorus

The Viking Chorus, male Freshmen students from St. Olaf College, led the Lenten Vespers/ Evening Prayer service at our Gloria Dei Lutheran church on Sunday evening. Dr. Christopher Aspaas '95, Assistant Professor of Music, directs the chorus of almost 75 voices.

Did they leave their longboat outside? Must be some very tame Vikings, no flowing beards, no battle axes, no horned helmets... What would old Leifr Eiríksson say to this? Or sing?

Looks like a choir...

Methinks Rob and Mandy asked all the right questions!

Is this a former ALC church?

And...in Florida we can drive around topless 'cause it's nice and warm (sometimes!). I do recall though in Minneesota in ze spring when the temperature reached 32 degrees I'd put the top down on my 1956 Ford Convertible and drive about the Twin Cities proudly freezing me arse off!

Oh wow, I would have loved to listen to them. I haven't heard an all-male choir in… I don't remember when!

It may be astonishing inside this chapel.

BTW, Leif, thanks for your kind words about our anniversary. You always have a little comment for us and for our photos! Thanks a lot! Obrigado!

Her var det garantert stemning og vakker musikk!
De ligner litt på "sølvguttene", et berømt norsk guttekor.
Jeg skriver på norsk... så er du litt forberedt til årets sommerferie.
