Paradise in Pearlmont Heights

The Twin Cities "Parade of Homes" happens annually in March. Top homebuilders in the metro area showcase their work with a month of open houses. Ron Clark, a 2008 "Minnesota Business Ethics Award" winner from Edina, built this rambler walkout in the Pearlmont Heights neighborhood of Eagan. For $469,900, this twin home features a 3-car garage, owners' suite, great room with expansive windows and pier fireplace with granite surround, sun room, gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and raised snack-bar, custom birch cabinets, red oak floors, 10-foot ceilings and a lower level finished with a family room, game room, fireplace, two bedrooms and bath.

I suppose it is a really good price. You wouldn't get this for this price around here.

Leif, it is a McMansion. Too much for me, lovely as it is.

I think helenmac is right on the mark; after a lifetime of owning homes, it is a bit large for folks our ages.

The Leif Hagen One Man Eagan Chamber of Commerce in action again!

Even with the current "depressed prices" in the Bay Area, that same house would be roughly double the price in Eagan. It almost makes your winters worth it! ALMOST.

Hej Leif,
I notice the first feature is a 3-car garage and the last feature is bath. I also guess the order is random!

My home was on the parade when it was first built. Everyone in our neighborhood tells us how they originally wanted our house since it was the "show" home. :)

This is really a great house, you can't buy anything like this here for that price.

When do you move in? You're lucky; sounds like a nice home.

Re your comment on Ocala DP: No, Ocala horses do not eat Cheerios. They are cheery by nature!

It looks like a big house and it looks great. I like the wooden pars of the kitchen.

Thanks for sharing about the 'parade of Homes'. I think the price is just fine. In UAE, I think that price will be just enough for a 5 or 6-year rent of a big villa.
