"Bowman Pond"

I climbed through the woods to the edge of this small pond near our house. The ice still covers most of the water but it's disappearing fast now. Some people living across the street from this pond didn't know its name so now I call it "Bowman Pond" in their neighbors' honor.
Eagan has primarily 16 named lakes & ponds. Watch for an upcoming lake series!

Hi Leif, this photo seems like so 'mysterious beyond' ...but it would be much an honor if it was named after you ....

What a wonderful spot! and shot!
Weather comparison notes: our ponds have lost their ice and mostly gone on the lakes -- a series on Fabius Township lakes also planned.

Lieber Leif,
das Bild sieht ein bisschen unheimlich und gruselig aus. Da möchte ich nicht alleine rumlaufen. Aber Du bist ja ein grosser und starker Mann;-).
Herzliche Grüsse aus Berlin

So, now you're naming ponds in Eagan. Being a Rotarian means you can give your own spin on things, heh?

Looks kinda chilly, though. You might be interested to know that I played golf this afternoon under beautiful blue skies and 78 degree temperatures. Can you spell "perfect"?

Heh, heh.

I look forward to the lake series. Most of the ice is gone here too. YAY!

Ah ha! Another breeding ground for those infamous Minny-sota B-52 sized mosquitos!

And still there is ice and snow. Do you think your winter will ever end?

Must have been a fun trek.
That's so cool that you named the pond for them. :)
The only thing ever named for me was Dina's Rabbitry (the former long chicken house) at Heifer Ranch, Arkansas, and now it is being torn down. sigh . . .
You know Heifer International, right? www.heifer.org

MN is the state of 10,000 lakes, no?

It is a beautiful scene. Hope spring is not too far away from Eagan!
