"Burnsville Uncorked"

Almost 500 guests attended the 7th annual "Burnsville Uncorked" wine tasting fundraiser on Thursday evening hosted by the Burnsville Rotary Club and Burnsville Breakfast Rotary Club. Rotary Assistant Governor Bob Stowell served fancy beef treats off a silver tray to guests. A jazz band played lively music while wine lovers sampled wines, ate fancy food and visited on both levels of the one year old Burnsville Performing Arts Center. Eagan and Burnsville are friendly neighboring suburbs.

Everything looks so good! I've been seeing a lot of commercials lately about Rotary and their battle to eradicate polio and I immediately thought about your blog. It catches my attention because both of my parents were polio victims back in 1954 when I was a year old. It killed my mother and crippled my father for the rest of his life. People don't think too much about polio any more in this country, but I'm glad that there is an organization focused on getting rid of this devastating virus for good.

Uh, is that figure on the wall in the background of the last photo an image of someone who imbibed a bit too much of the fermented juice of the grape variety? The inquiring mind of "Maytag" (The Agitator) wants to know...

Aha! Just as I suspected and just as I opined to you previously - the Rotary club exists in order to taste as much good food and wine in its city as possible!

Re: lizards with wrinkly skin - you had the notion, now do you have the lotion? Put up or shut up! Heh, heh!

I think I'd feel like a doofus there — I don't know anything about wines except whether I like the taste or not. That cocktail spread looks very tempting though!

The wine bottles stand in clusters just like the guests.

Interesting idea, I think back to good old days at German Winetastings in Mainz. Tasting 50 wines a day is not that difficult - just remember not to drink the wines...
