Spooky Doorway

Mr. Peterson worked really hard to decorate his Halloween doorway this year. Kids who "trick or treated" at his house heard spooky music, saw a scary creature hung from above and maybe encountered a few surprises!

November 1 is City Daily Photo's theme day: "Doorways!"

How clever of you to combine Theme day with a Halloween review! ;-) Don't eat too much of your kids' candy!

Love the combination of Halloween and Theme day. Fabulous decoration! Looks like a fun and scary time!

I wonder how many kids dared go up to that door and beg for candy? That blur you saw was no doubt a cloud of children running down the street!

this is a great doorway and I used to love it when people would do stuff like this so, as a kid, you had a great experience that was not too scary

Superb entry; for monsters

Now that is just plain awesome! I'm afraid my grandkids would not have approached it though. They got scared a couple of times last night and refused to go to the door because of something scary. I had to be the brave one and go get the candy!

Very cool!
Here we don't care much about Halloween, however, there are some private parties and children wear costumes in some schools.

Yes, well done Mr. Peterson!
I have not seen anything like this in Stavanger.
Anyway, thanks Leif for sharing this photo. To me it is quite unique.

Håper du og dine har hatt en fin helg!?

With this weekend being as usual as nearly all other over here in Greece, it was surely a joy to come and see what awaits one in your neck of the woods.
A wonderful life filled week for you all.

I must say that his gorgeous two-story doorway would make even me want to decorate it for every holiday!

I like the black and gold ghost — very elegant! The little black mice are cute too. :)

That is really spooky. I wouldn't want to bump into this at the doorway and anywhere for that matter!

This is really very good, it's not easy to miss this door! I'm trying to imagine some absent minded guy walking there and then looking at that thing above the door...
