Dinner guest from Taipei

On Saturday evening, Terry from Taiwan, the Rotary International exchange student in Eagan, joined us and our friends, the Butlers, for a lively, delicious dinner. Fresh apple crisp made from apples picked last weekend in Lakeville with vanilla ice cream was our dessert!

I'm just glad to see that you have a few friends, anyway!

The apple crisp and ice cream does sound good, though, even if soooo Minnesotan!

HI, Terry! :)
Oh wow, Leif, that apple crisp looks absolutely delicious!

My Yahoo mail is acting up on me again! I'm getting my mail but I don't know if it's letting me send any. It's been like this for two weeks now. Grrr… So here's what I was supposed to email you:

Hi, Leif. I hope Marie likes the blog — I know some Filipinos abroad follow it because they miss Manila every now and then. We seem to be all over! ;)

The Odd Shots logo isn't mine. It belongs to Katney of Katney's Kaboodle, who hosts the Odd Shots Monday meme. She's also in CDP: Yakima, WA. Hope you can join us with your Odd Shots!

Warm regards and have a great week!

I knew those apples won't go to waste. I remember coming to New Jersey as an international student and tasting apple crisp and ice cream at Applebee's :) Yummy... It's still one of my favorite deserts. Funny is, I must have ordered it in 100 restaurants since then, but I still like the one at Applebee's best :) Reminds me of the wonderful time I had in college.

Looks like a lot of good energy around that table. And perfect autumn fare for the diners. Isn't it wonderful eating what you've harvested?

Apple crisp sounds perfect for entertaining a guest from Taipei...or even a guest from East Gwillimbury. ;-)
