L is for Lutherans!

Easter Lutheran church is a congregation with two church buildings: "Easter on the Hill" and "Easter by the Lake." Traditional worship is offered on the Hill and contemporary worship by the Lake. Pastor Jim Borgschatz started the church over 30 years ago by knocking on doors! Now they have over 2,000 members and a preschool, too.

I think Easter Lutheran should be on Easter Island...

Tres interessant! Misery Synod?

'Easter by the Lake' sounds like an advert for a holiday.

Interesting name for a church! It looks like a simple place. Love the wood.

Just goes to show that knocking on doors can take you a long way.

Sounds like the pastor might have charisma as well as persistence and stick-to-itiveness to grow a congregation like that!

Strange buildings, not very church-like, but honor to the Pastor for his persistence.

Very nice photos. How do the services differ on the hill and by the lake?
